Happy New Year from Fiona Forward!
Quarter one is underway, so it is about time for a little quarterly recap!
The holiday season inspired us to have a quarter of giving! Our team brought enthusiasm and bright ideas on ways to give back and make a greater impact in the Denver community while addressing issues like food scarcity, conscious consumerism, and winter clothing and toy donation drives and partnering with organizations that shared our Fiona Forward mission and values.
Giving Back to the Denver Community
The first event took place throughout November. Digible employees and their families donated winter clothing items to help keep our community warm during Denver’s harsh winter, from hats and mittens to jackets and winter boots, we collected over 50 items. It was a pleasure to work alongside our long-term partners at Urban Peak Denver and we look forward to more ways to support their mission and impact on the Denver community for years to come.
All Smiles
We also broadened our philanthropic horizons beyond Denver and advocated for the Amazon Smile Program. During the holiday season, as many of us are online shopping, (we may be biased and encourage those to shop small and support local) we understand the convenience Amazon shopping provides. To encourage those to be conscious consumers, Amazon Smile allows shoppers to donate a portion of their total gift cost to an organization or charity of their choice.
‘Tis the Season for Giving
To round off the year and our season of giving, Fiona Forward hosted a toy drive for the month of December. We collected gifts and toys for children of all ages and donated them to the Boys and Girls Club of Denver before the holiday. It was a huge success and we received tremendous involvement from Digible employees – both local and remote. This created such a heartwarming environment and an impactful way to close out 2022.
Never Miss a Beat – Keep Up with Fiona Forward
As we head into Q1, our next volunteer event is with Cafe 180, where anyone can eat, regardless of their ability to pay, and those who are unable to pay simply exchange their time and energy for a nutritious meal. We also have a blood drive with Colorado Children’s Hospital on February 9, 2023!
